120 Day Pledge to "We, the People"

1. To suspend both individual and corporate income taxes for 6 months.


2. To suspend capital gains and inheritance (estate or death) taxes for one year.


3. To open drilling in both continental and offshore of the United States.
   
   To continue drilling for natural gas, mining coal and start building Nuclear Energy facilities.


4. To fight the War on Terror. To get rid of nefarious Rules of Engagement and let our troops fight to win. Victory and only Victory will suffice!
   
   To specifically target the groups of people committing acts of terror.
   
   To stop giving terrorists access to civilian courts and constitutional rights afforded to U.S. Citizens.


5. To cut all non-elected government employees salaries by 10% for a year.
   
   To cut all federal elected government employees salaries by 50% for a year.


6. No earmarks. No backroom closed meetings or deals.


7. Term limits for all members of Congress.


8. Stop amnesty and secure our borders.


9. Stop government run healthcare.


10. Preserve Capitalism.


11. To cut spending for all departments and programs (except Defense) over a 5 year period.


12. To have any elected or appointed Federal employee that seeks higher office resign their current position.


13. To bring back the incandescent light bulb.


14. To propose bills in simple and plain language.


15. Repeal Obama Care.

What Will This Accomplish?

1. It will free up disposable income for all Americans to spend, save or invest as they wish. This will help the economy, improve business performance and create new jobs. The long term goal will be two-fold:
   
   1. An across the board tax cut of 5% to 20% for all tax brackets.
   
   
   2. To put the U.S.A. on the road to a flat tax system.
   
   
   It will help companies to expand and create much needed job growth in America. It will also be an INCENTIVE for companies to stay located in the United States. The PRIVATE SECTOR creates WEALTH, not the GOVERNMENT!!!


2. Capital gains and inheritance taxes amount to double taxation and are unfair. By eliminating these it will give people the incentive to go out and take chances to invest or start new businesses knowing that they will not be penalized for being SUCCESSFUL. This will also help spur economic and job growth.


3. Open drilling will decrease our dependence on foreign oil. It will help decrease energy cost to Americans which leads to more Disposable income in your pockets giving you free will on how you spend, save or invest YOUR money.
   
   It will create high paying and long term jobs by R&D, drilling, refining and building the infrastructure to accomplish these goals.


4. Fighting the War on Terror will keep us safe by sending a strong signal to our enemies that we are playing for keeps.
   
   It will keep moral high in the Armed Services by not giving constitutional rights to dangerous terrorists that they capture and giving these same terrorists access to our civilian court system. Our own Navy SEALS don't get this access to a civilian court, but instead get a military tribunal. Can you imagine in WWII that we treated the Germans this way! They would have had a field day sabotaging the continental United States. Instead we used common sense then and we need to use common sense now!


5. Why should public servants be immune form the economic chaos that is going when we, Americans pay their salary? We Americans in the private sector have no guarantees on our salaries let alone jobs. Federal employees should also be asked to have "Skin" in the game, especially our elected representatives who serve us, NOT we serve them.


6. The elimination of earmarks will help get us on track to a balanced budget and stop "PORK" barrel projects.


7. Term limits will help stop creating "CAREER" politicians. This will allow new people with new ideas get elected to serve their country. Our founders were not career politicians; they were farmers and business men. They did not spend all of their time in Washington D.C. They went to Washington to take care of business then went back to their districts to listen and serve the people. We need to get back to the way our Founders intended.


8. Controlling our borders will help keep out terrorists who are coming in from Mexico. Our border agents are finding prayer rugs that are left behind when they do searches on the border. This must stop and stop now! Amnesty did not work back in the 1980's. The problem continued to grow and if we grant amnesty again the problem will continue to grow, AGAIN! Prosecuting our border agents for doing their jobs is not the answer!


9. Government needs to get out of the best healthcare system in the world. By keeping the government, the biggest denier of claims, out of our system this will create competition and help to lower costs along with:
1. Opening up competition by allowing access to insurance companies in all states.


2. Not requiring companies by law to cover everything under a plan. Let individuals pick and choose what types of coverage they want and need.


3. Tort reform to help bring down prices.


4. Tax write offs for individuals that buy their own health care coverage.


5. Medical Savings accounts and catastrophic coverage to help people control their healthcare coverage and costs.


10. Capitalism helped in creating the greatest country on earth and we need to insure that Capitalism continues.


11. An across the board cut of 15% in the first year. Years 2-5 cut spending 5% per year for a total of 35% cut over a 5 year period. This will actually CUT spending, not just projected growth and will bring down the deficit.


12. This will add some risk for those that seek higher office. Americans that want to change jobs or start a business have something called "Risk/Reward" to think about. What is the risk if I fail or what is the reward if I succeed? Currently federal employees do not have that risk. If a Senator wants to run for the Presidency and fail they go back to their current position. There is only reward with the current set up of running for office. We need to add risk to this equation. Because if they fail they need to realize that they will not have a job.


13. The incandescent bulb will be illegal to purchase in 2012. Who would have imagined that a light bulb would be banned in the United States based on a HOAX!!!


14. This will stop congress from enacting 2000+ page bills with numerous items added in for their benefit.


15. Repeal or defund Obama care. We as a nation cannot afford Obama Care both financially and individually!
